Storm sweeps through Woodstock

Boyd Hanson was in the shower when he heard the noise of trees crashing. He grabbed his daughter and wife and ran downstairs. The vicious thunderstorm that swept through the metro area Sunday night knocked down many trees in Cherokee County. A funnel cloud was reported in Cobb County.

Ingmar Hansen had a close call during the storm. A tree took out his bathroom and walk-in closet and deck as he and his wife huddled under a mattress in the basement. He lives on Dials Drive.
