Stockbridge to swear in three City Councilmembers at Monday meeting

Yolanda Barber will be sworn in Monday as Stockbridge City Council.

The Stockbridge City Council will swear in three members at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Elton Alexander, John Blount and Yolanda Barber will take their oaths of office during the Henry County city’s regular monthly meeting. Alexander and Blount are already sitting members of the council while Barber will be joining the governmental body. Each will serve a four-year term.

"The city of Stockbridge is excited to welcome our newly elected councilmembers, " City Manager Randy Knighton said. "This new year marks significance for our historical city. Stockbridge celebrates 100 years of cityhood in 2020.
