Smyrna election recount results unchanged

The winners and losers in last week’s Smyrna elections will remain the same, as recount results were unchanged from election night.

City Council candidate Vic Yankouski requested the recount in his Ward 7 race. He came in third in the race and just missed being eligible for a runoff.

Cobb County elections officials conducted the recount of votes in the Wards 1 and 7 races Friday morning. The certified results will stand.
