College Park police have identified the male they believe responsible for the shooting of a 24-year-old woman Wednesday evening.
Austin Richard Nesbit, 21, has been identified as the shooter. He also goes by Austin Richard Stanley, police said.
The incident occurred Wednesday about 6 p.m. in the 3100 block of Godby Road.
Video footage of the incident shows four males leaving the scene in a white Ford Explorer with California license plates. Police said there were reports of a fight outside an apartment building. During the incident, one of the males pulled out a gun and fired.
Erica Willoughby was shot in the forehead.
“She may have been an unintentional victim,” Block said. “The shooter has a cross tattooed between his eyes. Lots of people saw it, so we are trying to get this guy identified.”
Willoughby was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. She is in stable condition.
Aggravated assault arrest warrants are being released for Nesbit. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with details on the suspects are asked to call College Park police at 404-766-3618.
