Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton was honored for lifetime achievement recently by Georgia State University's Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
The award is given annually in recognition of a GSU Criminal Justice alumnus who has excelled in the field.
Paxton is a 1993 graduate of GSU. He has served as Forsyth County Sheriff since 2001.
