The Marietta Police Department sent underage buyers to local businesses on Wednesday to check for alcohol sales compliance.
It is the responsibility of the seller to check ID, and refuse sell to underage persons. The following seven businesses were cited for furnishing alcohol to minors: Chevron at 400 Cobb Parkway; Crown Plaza at 1775 Parkway; La Famiglia at 45 W. Park Square; Shillings at 19 N. Park Square; Marietta Diner at 306 Cobb Parkway; House of Lu at 89 Cherokee St. and El Velero at 768 Sandtown Road.
