A serial bank robber who sometimes wears a “Punisher” T-shirt struck for the sixth time last week, FBI officials said.

On Dec. 22, a man in a gray T-shirt with a black skull, the logo for the comic book and television show “Punisher,” robbed a SunTrust Bank in Sandy Springs, FBI agent David LeValley said in a news release.

The man walked into the bank on Johnson Ferry Road about 5 p.m. and pretended to fill out a deposit slip, LeValley said. Instead, he allegedly slipped a demand note to the teller.

“The suspect put the money in a small, black zippered bag,” LeValley said. He wore a wrist wrap on his hand.

Officials believe the same man in his mid-to-late-30s has been robbing banks throughout metro Atlanta for months, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

It was the third time the man hit a bank in Sandy Springs, officials said. He also hit banks in Alpharetta, Atlanta and Marietta.

He wore a gray “Punisher” T-shirt in a Dec. 7 robbery at a bank on Roswell Road in Marietta.

The man is described as bald, medium build, with some facial hair and wearing a large/oversized black watch on his left wrist. He often carries a small zippered bag.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477 (TIPS). There is a reward through Crime Stoppers and all callers can remain anonymous.
