Cobb County Commissioner Bob Ott will host a public meeting April 6 to discuss Cobb County’s budget.

Cobb is facing a $31 million mid-year budget deficit . Recommendations for closing the gap include employee furlough days, reducing bus service, cutting hours at senior centers and libraries, selling properties and reducing money for nonprofit organizations.

Commissioners are scheduled to vote on a revised budget April 12.

The town hall meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center at 200 Village Green Circle.
