School budget may cost Clayton residents more

The Clayton County Board of Education gave tentative approval to its $574 million budget Tuesday. The budget will require Clayton County taxpayers to pay a full 20 mills for their school-related property taxes, which is the constitutional cap. Currently the millage rate is slightly below the cap, said Charles White, spokesman for Clayton County schools.
