Seven, the newest K-9 officer in the Sandy Springs Police Department, recently earned national drug-detection certification.

The certification from the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association will help Seven with his primary job on the force, tracking.

Training requires the bloodhound be able to locate a person – suspects as well as missing children or seniors – by following a trail that is at least 30 minutes old.
