Michael Parson, appearing in shackles, chose not to speak prior to sentencing. His mother, Margaret Parson, speaking on his behalf, said, “He’s not that monster that he’s been painted to be.” “Is it a rare case, in my opinion, in Georgia that the sentencing range is too low,” said Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kelly A.
