Sandy Springs is launching its first youth basketball league next month.

The city’s recreation and parks department will sponsor the league, for girls and boys in second through fifth grades. Practices will be held at four local elementary schools with games to be played at Sandy Springs Middle School.

Cost is $25 to register. Scholarships are available upon request.
