Sandy Springs, Fulton ink animal control deal
By April Hunt
Aug 18, 2010Fulton County will continue to provide animal control service in Sandy Springs, a deal estimated to cost the city about $60,000 this year.
The county will provide rabies control services and will respond to calls for specific help under the deal, which is retroactive to July 1 and runs through next June.
The actual payment will be based on a formula that considers the percentage of calls not related to state-mandated rabies control and the number of responses in the city. Sandy Springs is projected to have about 700 required responses in the coming year, which would cost the city $59,670.
