The arrival of City Springs also means a new location for one farmers market in north Fulton County.
On May 12, the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market will reopen at its new location at the mixed-use development in Sandy Springs. The market will be nestled along Mt. Vernon Highway at City Springs, between Bluestone Road and Galambos Way.
The first market of 2018 will also mark the debut of Rodney Martin, the new executive chef for City Springs. Folks can shop the market with Martin from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and then watch him cook up a dish with food items he picked out.

Martin has more than 30 years of experience in the dining industry, having worked at Dominique’s Fine French Restaurant in Miami, the Waldorf Astoria Boca Raton Resort, Legendary Events Catering in Atlanta, Morehouse University, and most recently, the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
For the farmers market, the move to City Springs returns it near its original home. When the market was founded in 2010, its first home was in a parking lot where City Springs stands today.
The market will be open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and will feature fresh and local fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products and a variety of other foods.
