The Roswell City Council approved alcohol license suspensions for two restaurants accused of serving an undercover officer under 21 years of age.

The council approved a 30-day license suspension for Evolution Restaurant LLC, 100 Norcross St. The suspension began on March 22, and Evolution will be eligible to begin serving alcohol on April 20, according to minutes of the April 8 council meeting.

Cancun Bar & Grill LLC, 10479 Alpharetta St., was ordered to serve a 90-day suspension beginning March 25, and it will be eligible to serve alcohol on June 23, according to the minutes.

Additionally, Cancun will be required to have a security officer present from 11 p.m. to 30 minutes after closing on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Cancun must first ask for a Roswell police officer, and if a Roswell officer isn’t available, it can request an officer from another jurisdiction or a private security firm.

Cancun earlier this year served a 60-day license suspension for alcohol sales beyond permitted hours.
