Roswell residents, business owners or managers or employees of the city and/or its affiliates are invited to apply for the newly created Special Events Committee.

The panel will help bring events "that support and encourage economic impact and tourism," as well as support already established events in Roswell, according to a city announcement.

Members will be determined by the deputy city administrator; director of the Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affair Department; director of the Community Development Department; a member of Roswell Inc, the city’s economic development entity; and the city special events manager, the city said.

Committee members must attend at least one meeting a month “and be willing to work respectfully and collaboratively on behalf of the needs and interests of the Roswell community.”

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. Information: Christine Ward, special events manager, cward@roswellgov.com, or https://bit.ly/2MvzfRR
