Ninety-five percent of Roswell residents rated the quality of life in their city as "excellent" or "good" in a recent national survey.

Roswell was also compared with cities across the nation of comparable size and was ranked first in the “value of services for the taxes paid,” police protection, fire protection, code enforcement, and employee responsiveness to citizens.

The National Research Center and the International City/County Management Association conducted the National Citizen Survey in 2010, asking residents a range of questions about their cities and the quality of the city services.

The survey was mailed to 2,300 randomly selected Roswell households in October and early November 2010; 588 of the surveys were returned to the center.
