Roswell changing times, days for council meetings

Starting in June, the Roswell City Council will hold two instead of three regularly scheduled meetings a month, and at different times and days.

Council meetings will be held at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month. The council now meets at 7:30 p.m.,  normally on  the first, second and third Mondays.

The city said fewer meetings were needed because the council was discussing most subjects in committee meetings. The result was council meetings have gotten shorter and more agenda items can be covered in meetings.

If there’s a fifth Monday in the month, the council will hold an open mike night for residents to air their opinions.
