Roswell to boost residential recycling capacity
Roswell residents can now choose to bump up their recycling.
Community Waste Services, the city’s curbside recycling contractor, is offering at no additional cost to Roswell residents a 65-gallon recycling roll-out cart. The carts are optional and not required to participate in the curbside recycling program.
Roswell residents have recycled more than 5,000 tons of materials at the curb, according to city officials. The containers will help those households who have more recycling than garbage by keeping the materials in a weather proof and easy to maneuver container. Information about what can and can not be recycled will be printed on the top of the container as a reminder.
Residents may reserve their cart by either going online at www.roswellrecycles.com or calling 678-527-6470. Cart delivery is expected to begin in September and take about five weeks to complete.
The 18-gallon recycling containers Roswell residents currently use can be kept by residents to use as a planter, storage box, or can be taken to the Roswell Recycling Center, 11570 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta.
