Gwinnett County police are looking for burglars who have raided four Norcross-area businesses by entering through the roof.
Once inside, the burglars take cash from the registers and vending machines and leave through a regular door.
On Monday morning, police saw a suspicious vehicle near a business at Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Britt Road. While investigating, the officers saw three men run from behind a trash bin into the woods. Police were unable to find the suspects.
Police believe they stopped the men before they could burglarize a business.
One suspect in the rooftop burglaries is 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, possibly a Hispanic male, of medium build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with two distinct yellow triangular shapes on the back. He appears to wear two sweatshirts and a light-colored hat with a red brim.
Another suspect is 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, possibly a Hispanic male, of thick build and wearing a blue Adidas jacket with a gray stripe across the chest and sleeves. He also wears a sweatshirt underneath, with a dark-colored hood with white trim.
The burglaries occurred at Omely Cafe, 4864 Jimmy Carter Blvd.; La Conifianza Carniceria, 5119 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Carmelitas Mexicana, 5050 Jimmy Carter Blvd.; and El Tapatio Supermercado, 4142 Jimmy Carter Blvd.
Anyone with information on the suspects or burglaries is urged to call police at 770-513-5300.
