Clayton County deputies arrested a Riverdale man Wednesday for allegedly operating a meth lab out of a home he was renting.

David John Corlee, 37, had been under surveillance for about a week by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office. Public information officer Sonja Sanchez said deputies approached Corlee outside the home in the 6500 block of Hayes Road yesterday afternoon. He refused to authorize a search but deputies gained entrance after receiving the homeowner's consent.

Inside they uncovered between one and two ounces of "cooked" methamphetamine, Sanchez said. Corlee will appear in court this afternoon to answer charges of criminally manufacturing meth and marijuana possession.
