Rezoning allows Mitsubishi to expand in Gwinnett

Oct 27, 2011

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Tuesday approved a rezoning that will allow Mitsubishi Electric and Electronics USA to expand its Gwinnett office and warehouse operations.

Commissioners rezoned a 33-acre site on Satellite Boulevard in Suwanee from office to light industrial. That will allow Mitsubishi to consolidate four local facilities at the new location.

The company plans to add some 200 jobs in Gwinnett over the next decade, with an average wage of about $125,000.
