An amended zoning map for Peachtree City was formally approved on a 5-0 vote by the City Council on Feb. 6.

The review and adoption of the city’s zoning map and zoning ordinance is an annual procedure by the council “to ensure their validity and legal standing,” but is not required by the state. The city’s planning commission had recommended the plan’s adoption at its Jan. 27 public hearing.

The 2020 map reflects five zoning amendments approved by the council during 2019: Property on Widget Drive changed from general industrial to LUC-31 limited-use commercial; 301 Kelly Drive went from general industrial to LUI-5 limited-use industrial; 263 Greenwood Lane, previously estate residential, is now R-43 single-family residential; 320 Dividend Drive was rezoned from general industrial to LUI-6 limited-use industrial; and 105 Petrol Point changed from general commercial and office institutional to LUC-32 limited-use commercial.

The current zoning map is online at https://peachtree-city.org/1236/Zoning-Map.
