Bet this will make women clean out their purses more often.

A Decatur woman discovered she'd carried around a winning lottery ticket — worth $879,058 — for a month.

Juanita Starr, mother of three adult sons, received the free ticket from a previous drawing at Kimia's Mart, 3639 Flat Shoals Road in Decatur. She just forgot to check to see if it was a winner.

"I remember saying, 'These are funny-looking numbers. I know this can't be a winner,'" she said about the free ticket.

Now that she has claimed the prize, she wants to plan wisely before spending it.

"I want to buy a house — something affordable," she said. "I want to maintain [this prize] with good decisions on everything that I do with it."

The winning numbers from the June 1 Fantasy 5 drawing were 2-9-10-30-39.

Two Cobb County residents also won Fantasy 5 jackpots in June.

A retired engineer from Acworth won $232,648 after matching all five numbers in the July 21 drawing.

Roy Pulliam, 71, bought his ticket at the Publix on Seven Hills Boulevard in Dallas. He has four adult children and six grandchildren and worked as an industrial engineer at Lockheed Martin.

Pulliam discovered he was the winner when he was checking the results online. "I couldn't believe it," he said. "I jumped up and down, hollered and screamed."

Pulliam already has a list of projects he wants to accomplish.

The winning numbers at the July 21 Fantasy 5 drawing were 3-6-11-14-23.

On July 14, Orlando Williams Sr. went to the Quik Trip at 105 Barrett Parkway to try his luck. He won the Fantasy 5 drawing and claimed a prize of $360,456 at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta on Monday.

Williams' winning numbers were 1-7-13-23-30.
