Report: Wife asked someone to kill her husband

Jan 18, 2011A north Georgia woman has been accused of trying to hire someone to kill her husband, who lives in Alabama.
Johnnie Melissa Burmeister, 40, faces a felony charge of criminal solicitation to commit murder, Columbus police Lt. Ronald Hastings told the Ledger-Enquirer.
“She did request someone to kill her husband,” Hastings said of Burmeister’s alleged proposition to have someone kill 45-year-old Michael D. Burmeister.
An informant contacted police with details about the plot, the newspaper reported.
Johnnie Burmeister was arrested in Pickens County and will be brought to Columbus later this week.
