Repair work closes part of busy road near Georgia State till next week

Feb 7, 2018A downtown Atlanta road is closed while crews repair a 12-inch water main.
The closure is on Peachtree Center Avenue SE between Gilmer and Decatur streets near Georgia State University.

The project was initially expected to take two days, but a second press release sent Tuesday updated the closure to last through Feb. 14.
Traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Drivers are urged to use caution and to avoid the area if possible.
