A chance of rain is forecast for four of the five work days this week, with Thursday likely to be the only sunny and rain-free day.

Temperatures will be about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than normal, with mid-week highs reaching the low 70s.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton is forecasting a 20 percent chance of rain Monday morning and again late in the day on Tuesday, with highs in the mid-60s on Monday and low 70s on Tuesday, and overnight lows in the low 50s.

On Wednesday, the chance of rain increases to 60 percent, Minton said. Highs will again be in the low 70s, with lows in the upper 50s.

Thursday looks to be the best day of the week, with sunny skies, highs around 73 and lows in the 50s.

Rain moves back into the area on Friday, when there’s a 60 percent chance of showers.

Atlanta’s normal high for late February is 59 degrees, the normal low around 40 degrees.
