Raccoon tests positive for rabies

Gwinnett County has issued a rabies alert after a raccoon found in Suwanee tested positive for the disease.

The animal was found on Saint Aurics Drive Dec. 4. The county advises anyone who has handled this animal or who has been bitten or scratched by a stray animal to call the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement Office at 770-339-3200, Ext. 5576.
