Cobb County is opening its Safety Village to the public on Sunday, for a chance to see the child-size representation of the county and to learn safety techniques.

Cobb’s public safety personnel teach students how to react to fire, crime and disaster emergencies, along with drug and alcohol awareness. The village includes a replica of house complete with fire dangers, and a town village with storefronts and roads to teach pedestrian safety.

The open house runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the village, 1220 Al Bishop Drive in Marietta.
