The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball lottery jumped to $171 million after no players matched all six numbers in Wednesday night's game.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 4, 23, 31, 42 and 50, and the Power Ball was 23.
The cash option prize for a single winning ticket on Saturday is an estimated $88.7 million before taxes.
The top prize has been building since April 23, when a player in Indiana won a $74 million jackpot.
The jackpot for Friday night's Mega Millions multi-state lottery is $35 million.
