A benefit concert and silent auction to raise money for Cobb County flood victims will be held Thursday at Trinity Chapel at 4665 Macland Road in Powder Springs.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction that includes an autographed Michael Jackson "Thriller" album and guitars autographed by musicians.

Ann Nesby, Echoing Angels, Living Anthem and Canton Jones will perform at the concert, which starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free but donations are requested. Local officials have been invited to attend.

The Sept. 21 floods damaged thousands of houses in Cobb County and many people can't move back into their residences because of lack of funds.

The concert is sponsored by Thirst Aid Live, a group raising money and awareness for the global water crisis, and Trinity Chapel. For information, call the church at 770-222-7023, ext. 2185, or e-mail lwong@trinitychapel.com.
