Powder Springs approves $643,700 for infrastructure mapping

The Powder Springs City Council awarded contracts Monday to two companies for tracking the water and sewer infrastructure.

Woolpert Inc. will receive $584,210 for engineering and mapping to inventory and include the water and sewer infrastructure in the city’s Geographic Information System.

Atkins will receive $59,490 for an energy assessment of the city’s water and sewer infrastructure, including development of the preliminary phase of an asset management plan.
