Marijuana growers in DeKalb County saw their product get smoked before they intended.

Firefighters called to a house in the 2300 block of Tarian Drive near Decatur around 6:30 p.m.  Saturday extinguished a blaze. Then, while looking around, they spotted suspicious plants in the basement, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

The firefighters called police, and "the DeKalb County Narcotics unit responded to the scene and determined that there was a large marijuana grow lab inside the basement," police said.

By then, the homeowners were long gone. Police are looking for a man named Stephen Rock Senette.
