Police are asking for help to solve a Forest Park death investigation.

Officers were called to the home of Isabell Mason on June 14, and found the 62-year-old woman dead inside.

Residents from out of town had reported not being unable to reach her for several days.

Although the cause and manner of Mason's death has yet to be determined, investigators say her car was missing and one of her personal checks was cashed during the time she couldn't be reached, police say.

Two people were said to have cashed the check, Forest Park police spokesman Maj. Chris Matson said.

Investigators are looking for two persons of interest, and have identified one of them as Cheryl Nicole Butler, 33, of Augusta.

Butler was seen at the bank with an unidentified man.

Police believe Butler and the man could be able to provide important information about how Mason died.

Mason's car is a gray 1999 Ford Contour with Georgia license tag AYS-6506.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mason's car, or Butler and her male companion is asked to call the Forest Park Police at 404-366-4141.
