A Gwinnett County man was jailed after authorities accused him of stealing natural gas by siphoning it through a garden hose.

An arrest warrant for Paul Roberts, 48, of Sugar Hill, says he endangered his neighbors when he ran a hose from a gas valve along Lois Drive, according to Channel 2 Action News. Police said he broke the lock on the valve, stuck a garden hose into it and ran the line into his home, the news station reported.

Sugar Hill City officials said the hose was spotted by a city worker.

Roberts was charged with theft of services, reckless conduct and criminal damage to property.
