A man accused of shooting four dogs in the head was arrested Tuesday by DeKalb County sheriff's deputies.

Howard Alexander Oneal, 39, was charged with dog fighting, four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, said Sgt. Adrion Bell of the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's fugitive squad arrested Oneal near Decatur, in the 3700 block of Flat Shoals Parkway, Bell said. The arrest warrant accuses Oneal of killing four pit bulls with shots to the head.
