Sandy Springs police on Wednesday identified the vehicle believed to have struck and killed 20-year-old Salvador Aguirre late Friday night in a hit-and-run.

Police are seeking a 2007, 2008 or 2009 Lexus LS460.

Salvador Aguirre, 20, of Sandy Springs, died from blunt force trauma to his head and body, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's said Saturday night. Police in Sandy Springs said he was struck by a car that was traveling north on Roswell Road.

Aguirre was hit while walking in the 4600 block of Roswell Road around 11:30 p.m., officer Keith Zgonc said.

Police said the car that hit him was black or dark colored, may have left the roadway and should have damage to the passenger side headlight.
