A 51-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly beat a man in a wheelchair at her Athens home.

Athens-Clarke County police arrested Sylvestine Davis, 51, on a charge of aggravated assault-domestice violence after she was treated at a hospital for a stab wound to her breast, according to a report in the Athens Banner-Herald.

According to the newspaper, Davis and a 62-year-old man visiting her started arguing late Saturday evening over keys. The argument escalated when Davis started hitting the wheelchair-bound man on the face and arms.

To defend himself, the man told police he grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed Davis.

Davis then grabbed a metal cane-walker and beat the man, knocking him out of his wheelchair before neighbors intervened, the newspaper reported.
