Planning meeting Oct. 29 for Christmas charity

Connecting Henry is having an organizational meeting 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 29 at McDonough’s Heritage Park in Meeting Room B. Individuals and organizations interested in participating in the annual Community Cares Christmas Shop are invited to attend.

The shop will be open Dec. 11-12, during which time selected families are given the opportunity to come in on designated days to shop for their children. Last year about 750 children were served, and this year’s goal in 1,000. Information: www.connectinghenry.org.
