Two pilots from Moody Air Force Base ejected during a training flight shortly before the plane crashed Monday afternoon, officials said.

They were flying an A-29A Super Tucano aircraft near Homerville for the 81st Fighter Squadron, officials with the base said in a news release.

Both pilots are being evaluated for any injuries and the incident is under investigation.

Moody asked the public to avoid the scene of the crash due to potential safety hazards.
