A family member returned to the Pheasant Drive home, off Boring Road, around 4 p.m. and found the couple dead, DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

“One of the family members came home, and when she came inside the house, she saw the two victims lying in the bedroom,” DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

The couple’s adult son, identified as Calvin Ray Jr., 39, was later taken into custody, according to police.

The suspect, identified as Calvin Ray Jr., 39, allegedly left the home in a family vehicle, and police issued a lookout on the vehicle, DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

A family member stopped by to visit at the Pheasant Drive home, off Boring Road, around 4 p.m. and found the couple dead, Alexander said. The two may have been dead for several hours, DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

“It’s a pretty horrific scene inside,” DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

“One of the family members came home, and when she came inside the house, she saw the two victims lying in the bedroom,” DeKalb police Chief Cedric Alexander said.

Calvin Ray Jr., 39, is accused of stabbing his parents to death in DeKalb County, according to police. This is his 2011 mug shot from the state Department of Corrections website.
