The Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank has awarded the Perimeter community improvement district a $1 million grant for streetscape and roadway work.

The money will be used improve Lake Hearn Drive and Peachtree Dunwoody Road in the district. It is the second GTIB the district has received.

The 2010 award of $800,000 in 2010 helped with design and engineering for Georgia's first diverging diamond interchange at I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody Road.
