About 150 attended Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason’s State of the City Address Friday at the Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners.

Mason noted a busy year of accomplishments including support of a crime-free multi-family housing initiative, plans for gateway signs, adoption of a livable centers initiative plan and approved plans for a Town Center. The city noted efforts to revitalize the Winters Chapel and Holcomb Bridge corridors, several road improvement projects, as well as approval of a zero millage rate for the third year.

Future plans include participation with Georgia Tech to establish a business incubator program and efforts to bring a higher-level education program to the city. Mason also noted a focus on housing needs by concentrating on both millennial and senior housing to supplement an abundant single-family home supply. Transportation and traffic management will be ongoing in conjunction with Town Center plans to create a pedestrian bridge over Peachtree Parkway from The Forum onto a walking trail by a creek that becomes the Peachtree Corners botanical gardens.
