Short-term rentals in Peachtree Corners will be a thing of the past. The City Council approved an ordinance Jan. 19 to o eliminate homes in residential neighborhoods from being rented out for periods of less than one month, specifically less than 31 days.

According to city officials the ordinance is in response to complaints received from neighborhoods experiencing problems with short-term rentals of single family homes within their subdivision. Some of these problems included excessive number of vehicles parked at the home, noise, and activity at all hours.

The new ordinance reads that “the rental of property for less than 31 days shall constitute a hotel/motel use.”
