A developer planning to build four homes on a narrow tract along Robinson Road was denied a variance by the City Council of Peachtree City Thursday.

Previously approved variances and plats for the site failed to include a required 50-foot greenbelt buffer, which nearby residents brought to the city’s attention just before clear-cutting of the 4.3-acre property was about to begin.

Adjacent property owners, mostly concerned about stormwater runoff, spoke out against Zenco Development’s request to install a 25-foot landscape buffer instead. The city might face legal action as a result of the dispute.
