Peachtree City mayor’s ethics complaint dismissed
An ethics complaint filed in September against Peachtree City Mayor Vanessa Fleisch has been dismissed by a hearing officer who reviewed the case. On Nov. 19 the city council (with Fleisch recused) voted 4-0 to accept the findings of Thomas Greer, the Carrollton attorney who evaluated the complaint under the provisions of the city’s ethics ordinance.
The complaint was filed in September by resident Martine Yancey, who alleged that Fleisch failed to submit campaign disclosure documents when she ran for mayor in 2013.
Greer dismissed the complaint after finding that it was both unjustified and not filed in a timely manner.
