Starting Feb. 1, the City Council of Peachtree City will convene its regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. The council first proposed the change in November, and conducted a public opinion poll to determine attendees’ preferences.

Of the 120 people who replied, 38 percent expressed no preference, 32 percent preferred keeping the 7 p.m. start time, and 29 percent liked 6:30 p.m. The council approved the change 5-0 at its Jan. 4 meeting.

The meetings can also be viewed live online via the link at www.peachtree-city.org.
