The City Council of Peachtree City is considering changing its meeting time to 6:30 p.m. in 2018. The current start time is 7 p.m.

The proposed ordinance change was previewed at the Nov. 16 meeting and will be voted on soon. The city is asking residents to note their preference online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RQ8LQCK. The meetings will still be held on the first and third Thursday of each month, although the mayor can schedule special meetings as needed.

A similar time change was implemented by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners earlier this year.
