Peachtree City held its last budget workshop for FY2016 on Tuesday, with the city council seemingly on board with staff recommendations.
Interim City Manager Jon Rorie and Financial Services Director Paul Salvatore outlined two options for a $33-34 million budget that includes funding for street and cart path paving, bridge repairs and a new police detective position, but no millage rate increase.
Revenue from the 2005 SPLOST has run out, so the city plans to use $769,00- $1 million in cash reserves to meet its service level objectives.
A final budget will be presented at the council’s July 16 meeting.
