A boil water advisory was lifted at 5 p.m. Friday in Paulding County.

Water from the county system is now safe for consumption, officials said.

But in Douglas County the water is still not safe to drink, according to information on the county website.

The Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority has restored water to most homes. The water may appear clear but is still not drinkable, the county site says.

Bottled water will be distributed Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until water supplies are exhausted or until 4 p.m. at the following locations.

* Lithia Springs 1st Baptist Church, 3566 Bankhead Highway (US 78), Lithia Springs

* Best Buy, 6875 Douglas Boulevard, Douglasville

In addition to bottled water, a water truck with fresh/treated water will be available to Douglas residents in the parking lot of the old Cub Foods/Walmart shopping center on Stewart Parkway from 9 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Residents must bring their own containers.
